Audio Fix (stutter and stereo), please test!

This is not an official fix, but if you have audio issues (you may not even be aware of), I recommend reading on.

While modding the game (I replaced the music), I stumbled upon a problem with the sound: It would mix the stereo channels.
The fix I found also seems to solve audio skipping issues I had on ubuntu. (on 2 different systems)

How you can test if you have this issue:

  • Connect stereo speakers (Ideally stereo headphones).
  • Download this zip file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/1w5tqg508jgxw0u/TestAudio.zip
  • Extract its contents in your mod folder. (You can find it if you Click on "Mods" in the main menu of towns)
  • Activate the mod in your game. (It replaces the ingame and menu music with a test sound that plays a 440Hz test tone alternately on the left and the right stereo channel with short pauses in between.)
  • If both of your speakers play the sound at the same time, you are having this problem.
or:
  • If your sound skips a lot, this fix will possibly work too. (It did for me on 2 ubuntu systems.)

How to fix it:

Etc.:
The source of the files is : http://www.lwjgl.org/download.php
(The windows version I took from lwjgl-2.9.1, the others from lwjgl-2.9.0 for no particular reason. I don't think there's a difference.)

This is the thread where I first discovered this:

I hope this helps some of you.

I'm not exactly sure what would be the right subforum to post this, so forgive me if this is not it.
