Any ideas to force them depositing?

Postby Wertikov » Tue Aug 06, 2013 12:11 pm

Hi all.
As you can see, my townies are just chilling.

http://s7.directupload.net/images/130806/wyolzisp.jpg

They leave the raw fish on the ground.
What is the best way to "tidy up"?
Building more raw food barrels?
Reducing the amount of auto-fish?
Setting the priorities?
I tried a lot, but the economie is highly fragil on this level of townies.
What is your way to handle this?
(By the way, this is my opti-solution for 225 townies and 15 heros)

Greetings from Germany!

I assume you have already configured the cpu setting for pathing to 6 in some of the menus. If you haven't, go toggle it to get game working again. Without it, the townies start standing around instead of doing anything.

Anyway, I recall I solved my tidying issues by having a job group for hauling only with a large market area in middle of everything, so that whenever there was a hauling job an idle hauler could get to the location fast. I used three dimensional kitchens too, multiple floors for cooking areas to minimize walking distances, and had my fishing area underground. I didn't really mind having excess raw fish on the ground though, so I don't know if you can call it "solved" in the sense you want to have it, I planned the layout to have space for that...

I tryed the option with the hauling-group. I have 60 townies in it. It works!
Thanks.

Can I ask you how you made that screenshot? I wanted to show an experiment in efficiency that I created, but I don't wanna glue multiple pics together since my screen is kinda small...

Probably lots of pictures...

The only thing you can try is to raise your screen resolution as high as possible.. and open towns in windows... depending how you normally play it might be bigger.. (for me it is a lot more..).. for you it may not be any or not noticeable :(

With these two things:
Add: An option to hide the user interface (default key: U)
Add: An option to take a screenshot (default key: F8)

it will be a bit easier though... next update...

Bleh... I don't have the patience to properly take the pics, and maybe not even the skills in image editing. Wish we could take a snapshot of the whole map.

In the next patch we intend to make it so that crafted items, such as gathered wheat, fish, made weapons etc etc etc, will be put in a close by container (to be decided by the living LOS) instead of automatically thrown down. if the townie wont find a container, or if it would be full, he will then proceed to drop it.
